Llanyrafon AFC are very much a family orientated football club providing football for youths from the age of 5 up to 18 years of age (current list of teams).
The majority of our football coaches, and indeed our committee members, are parents of children who play at the club. All our coaches / managers have received training in accordance with the Football Association of Wales baseline guidelines which typically include Leadership Skills, Child Welfare, First Aid and Goalkeeper Awards.
The club was founded in 1966 and it celebrated its 40th Anniversary during the 2005 / 2006 season
Llanyrafon AFC is affiliated to the Gwent Football Association and is a member of the Torfaen Junior and Youth Association Football League and the Gwent County Football Association Youth League.

After 20 years of devoted service to the club, our Chairman Alan Hiatt has decided to stand down. Alan has been an inspirational chairman and has been hugely influential in making Llanyrafon one of the most sought after / successful clubs in Torfaen. …….. He will be sorely missed.
The Committee and I’m sure all players / parent who knew Alan, wish him well for the future.
